Lobster Cult is a new online fiction and nonfiction magazine intended to showcase the work of young, talented but as yet unknown authors.

Our goal is to publish high-quality creative writing in any form; from the flash fiction story to the novella, and even the novel, we aim to provide readers and writers with a medium through which to discover new voices, for free.

If you are interested in submitting to our magazine, please email us at submissions@lobstercult.com.

ATTENTION: DUE TO SITE MAINTENANCE ISSUES, LOBSTER CULT IS NOT ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS AT THE MOMENT.

Also, follow us on Twitter, you twits.

Whose Idea Was This?

Lobster Cult is the brainchild of Phil Jourdan and Jack Joslin, housemates and writers-in-arms. They, along with a review board, will be selecting which stories are to be published on Lobster Cult.

Submission Guidelines

Because Lobster Cult is a startup magazine, we are accepting fiction and nonfiction in just about any genre, as long as it is of literary quality and has not been published elsewhere. We don't accept poetry at the moment.

  • Got a novel that's sitting in your drawer? If you'd like to make the first two chapters available in PDF form on Lobster Cult, let us know and we'll do it.
  • Want to review a book, even an obscure one? Do it and send us the review. If it meets our standards, we'll publish it here.
  • We will withdraw your submissions from our site if you wish, at any time.
  • Please paste your story into the body of the email. We hate attachments. Thank you. Also, double space your submissions.
